The East Gate - Nathan Shaw
I woke up during the night, looked at the clock and went straight back to sleep. The time was 4:44am. Some time later I realized that God was speaking to me. He led me to Ezekiel 44:4.
Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple; so I looked, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD; and I fell on my face.
In this verse Ezekiel was taken to the front of the temple. The front of the temple is the east gate. God's glory entered the temple through this gate one chapter earlier.
Afterward he brought me to the gate, the gate that faces toward the east. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory...And the glory of the LORD came into the temple by way of the gate which faces toward the east. The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the temple (Ezekiel 43:1-2, 4-5).
The east gate is very significant. It is the gate of direct entry into the temple.
In the same way that Ezekiel saw the temple filled with God's glory the whole earth will be filled.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
The east gate speaks of the entry point for this glory. There are many east gates in the earth. East gate cities are entry points for God's glory to flood a nation. East gate nations are entry points for God's glory to flood the earth.
David also understood the significance of gates as the entry point for God's glory.
Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in (Psalm 24:7).
New Zealand: An East Gate
New Zealand is an east gate nation. It is one of the first nations in the world to see the sun at the beginning of each day. Note also that when the sun rises its radiance shines from the east to the west. Prophets have identified significant gates on the east coasts of both the North and the South Islands of New Zealand. These gates are strategic. Once they are opened the whole nation will become an east gate. It is like there is a wave of glory banked up on the east coast of the nation. When it breaks it will move from east to west as a sign that New Zealand is an east gate nation (in other words it will engulf the whole nation).
Because New Zealand is the furthest nation from Israel it is a very strategic east gate. When the east gate over New Zealand and the east gate over Jerusalem are both fully open God's glory will flood the entire earth.
Prophesy To The Gates
Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). A gateway is an entry point for heaven to flood the earth. Pray for these gates to be both discerned and opened. Like David in Psalm 24 we can prophesy for the gates to be opened.
