ANZUS and the Prophetic Movement

In November 2016 God spoke to me, “ANZUS will live again.” ANZUS is a three way defence treaty between Australia, New Zealand and the United States. The treaty was formed in 1951 and came into force on the 29th of April 1952, almost seventy years ago. The treaty still exists but in a much weakened form between the United States and New Zealand. Recently God showed me that there is not only a political ANZUS, but also a spiritual one. He went on to say:

“The prophetic movements in Australia, New Zealand and the United States will form three strands of a cord that will defend and uphold each other. I will use the ANZUS alliance—both spiritual and political—to advance My purposes for Israel and the nations. There is a deliberate warfare against both the spiritual and the political ANZUS.”

“New Zealand, you have a unique voice and a unique perspective, however, you must be careful not to succumb to the subtle anti-American sentiment seeded throughout your nation and even within your churches. As you bless, honour, defend, uphold and pray for your American brothers and sisters, particularly those in the prophetic movement, your prophetic authority will increase dramatically.”

God showed me three signs that point to a revived and renewed ANZUS.

(1) The Kaikoura Earthquake

On November 14th, 2016 Kaikoura was struck by a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake that ripped across several fault lines. In scientific terms it was a new phenomena. The 180km long rupture was described as the earth “unzipping” itself (GeoNet). Both State Highway One and the Main North Line railway were extensively damaged and parts were even buried. Some parts of the railway were swept out to sea. It was directly after this earthquake that God spoke to me, “ANZUS will live again.”

The Kaikoura earthquake happened at a time when New Zealand’s foreign affairs minister was assisting the United States Secretary of State in pressuring Israel to co-operate with a two state solution to resolve the Palestinian conflict. Some believe that the earthquake was God’s judgement on New Zealand. When I sought God He showed me that the earthquake was a sign rather than a judgement. It was God’s way of saying, “Humans think they can legislate to do with Israel. Geopolitical and spiritual seismic shifts are about to happen in the earth that are so powerful, humanity’s puny efforts to legislate will be as nothing.”

The revived ANZUS will bless Israel.

(2) The USS Sampson

The Royal New Zealand Navy invited the United States Navy to send a vessel to participate in their 75th birthday celebrations held in November 2016. The USS Sampson became the first US warship to visit New Zealand in 33 years. Interestingly, because of the Kaikoura earthquake, the USS Sampson proceeded directly to Kaikoura to provide humanitarian assistance. This was a prophetic sign that the ANZUS alliance between the United States and New Zealand would be fully restored.

(3) The Restoration of Old Routes

As already mentioned, the Kaikoura earthquake caused extensive damage to State Highway One and the Main North Line railway. For a period of time the future of these coastal routes stood in the balance as it was debated whether to repair them or establish new inland routes. Eventually it was decided to repair them. After around-the-clock work the railway line was officially opened to freight trains on the 15th of September 2017. With the assistance of the railway to remove rubble and bring in machinery State Highway One was re-opened in time for Christmas 2017. Work continued on the still damaged railway. Finally it was opened to passenger trains on the 1st of December 2018. It had taken almost two years of day-and-night work.

The restoration of these routes is a further sign that the ANZUS alliance between the United States and New Zealand will be fully restored. The “NZ” representing New Zealand is in the centre of the word ANZUS. Rather than on the periphery, New Zealand will be at the centre (or heart) of the revived and renewed ANZUS. ANZUS is destined to be a strongly united cord of three strands. “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

• Australia, New Zealand and the United States will be used to bless Israel and many other nations.
• The prophetic movements in Australia, New Zealand and the United States are coming into a much greater unity and a much greater authority.
